Throughout July and early August, residents around the Bellaire, Meyerland and West University areas can attend a variety of events that include grilling outdoors, game nights, walking tours and movie nights.

Houston On Foot
Starting July 11, Will Blasingame will provide a free, two-hour guided walking tour of some of Houston’s most iconic neighborhoods and institutions every Saturday, including Hermann Park, the Museum District, Rice University and the Texas Medical Center.
Hot Dogs on the Grill
West University’s Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Parks and Recreation Month in July with several free community events, including grilling hot dogs at Judson Park.
Hill “Halfon” Doesn’t Answer
The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film by Asi Dayan, which follows an Israeli reserve unit near the Egyptian front lines. Guests can watch the 92-minute comedy at the center’s Kaplan Theatre.
Lotería Game Night
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, will host a Loteria Game Night inspired by the museum’s art collections. Guests can play for a chance to win prizes like H-E-B tote bags, socks, tortilla-scented candles and gift cards.

Mahjong & Margaritas
Houston residents can round up four friends or come single for an afternoon of mahjong and margaritas in Helix Hall. Complimentary food and drinks will be available. Guests can bring their own mahjong set or reserve one.
Houston Tattoo Arts Festival
Bringing hundreds of tattooers under one roof, this festival includes tattoo arts that range from international icons to rising local talent. Visitors can get tattooed at the festival, as well as experience live entertainment, art exhibitions and a marketplace filled with unique vendors.
Dive-In Movie Night
Patrons for Bellaire Parks and city officials will be celebrating the end of summer with the city’s popular dive-in movie event. Held at the Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center, families can enjoy food and a free pool noodle while watching a selected family-friendly movie.
