James Beard Award-nominated chef Chris Williams and Michelin-recommended Lucille’s Hospitality Group have opened a new food and beverage destination in Houston’s Museum District.
Located on the 12th floor of luxury apartment complex Forme, The Branch officially opened for business Oct. 1 and is now accepting reservations, officials confirmed.
The 20,000-square-foot restaurant pairs dining and lounge spaces with its featured rooftop patio and pool offering sweeping views of Downtown Houston.
What’s on the menu
Throughout the week, The Branch serves a wellness-inspired selection of meals across breakfast, lunch and happy hour. This includes a continental-style Harvest Table for the earliest part of the day, spread with baked goods, fruit, charcuterie, yogurt and other a la carte items, according to a Sept. 30 news release.
The Branch Benny highlights a lump crab cake, green masa, a poached egg and chipotle hollandaise. The Branch’s Chorizo Press, Avocado & Tuna Conserva Toast, fresh-pressed juices, smoothies and morning cocktails are among its other daily breakfast options, per the release.
Officials said that the restaurant’s all-day menu consists of Cabo-esque fixings. Guests can enjoy an oyster program, seasonal crudo and a curated cheese selection developed in partnership with A Cheese Affair, a local shop specializing in cheeses from around the world.
Officials said via news release that the restaurant's evening beverage program specifically showcases low-ABV cocktails that can “transition easily” into spirit-free variations.
Quote of note
Through its unique locale, The Branch aims to serve as a destination not just for luxury dining, but also for events, buyouts and monthly community programming. Guests can find more information related to private events and catering on the restaurant's official website.
“We’re excited to partner with The Forme. It’s not only an opportunity to utilize our culinary toolkit through room service and an entirely different dining experience across the street from Lucille’s, but it’s also another opportunity to create equity in one of the country’s most dynamic culinary cities,” Williams said in the release. “The space itself is truly special, with some of the best views in Houston and a setting unlike anything else in the city. We’re excited to create an experience that complements the neighborhood that has been our home for the past 17 years.”
