Houston native opens 10th location of family-owned flooring company

Meyerland native and Bellaire resident Alex Roberts officially opened Roberts Carpet and Fine Floors off Chimney Rock Road in mid-August.

About the company

Roberts Carpet is a family-owned business in Houston that has been growing in the community since 1984. Founders Sam and Valerie Roberts handed the business to the second generation in 2022, with daughter Alex Roberts now acting CEO. She opened the store's 10th location this year.

"I grew up in Meyerland and currently live in Bellaire, and I'm incredibly proud to open our 10th location in the neighborhood that raised me—and where my children will grow up," Roberts said. "We're so grateful to Houston and hope to keep earning our place in the fabric of this city."

What is it

Roberts Carpet and Fine Floors is a full-service flooring design center with a showroom that features carpet, hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate and tile, as well as made-to-order custom-sized area rugs and stair runners.

The roughly 3,979 square-foot facility will also provide services such as financing, customer care and a room visualizer where customers can upload a photo of their room and see how the new floors they've chosen will look in real time.
