Officials with Framebridge, a custom picture framing retailer, filed a project listing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicating a new store location is set to join Rice Village in late 2026.

Framebridge offers customers framing options that range from standard picture frames of all shapes, sizes and colors to unique gifts like ornaments. The store's website shows that frames come in colors such as gold, dark wood, gray, white and silver. Customers can also choose from different collections such as art deco, American hardwoods and British country, which are frames inspired by specific characteristics.
The process includes either uploading a digital photo, shipping art and objects, or bringing in physical copies to a nearby store for framing. Customers can frame photos, art, documents, papers, 3D objects, jerseys, or textiles.
Some background
CEO Susan Tynana says on her website that the idea of Framebridge started based on annual hiking trips she took with her sister.
"I had collected four National Parks posters from our trips and took them to a custom frame shop," she wrote. "I loved the memories of the trips, but I hated the framing experience. There were too many options, the consultation was uncomfortable, the turnaround time was weeks and the posters cost $400 each to be framed. So I started Framebridge to make high-quality custom framing easy, beautiful and affordable so people could frame more often."
Frambridge started as an online custom framing startup in D.C. before opening its first brick-and-mortar in 2019. Today, there are approximately 43 physical retail stores across the United States.

The store currently operates a location in River Oaks, but three new permits have been filed for upcoming locations across Houston, including one along White Oak Drive, Voss Road and Times Boulevard. Per the TDLR listing, the Rice Village store includes renovating an existing 755-square-foot tenant space from Sept. 26 to Dec. 29. Details are subject to change.
