A future sportsplex, named after League City’s former mayor Pat Hallisey, is slated to start construction in late May, said Chien Wei, League City’s parks & cultural services director.

The 106-acre sportsplex, which will be located near the intersection of Calder Drive and Ervin Street, was previously named Bay Colony Park, according to a news release from League City.
The park’s design includes:
- 12 pickleball courts
- Five softball fields
- Four baseball fields
- Batting practice cages
- Two tennis courts
- 12 pickleball courts
- Two soccer fields
