Clear Creek ISD’s board of trustees will consider whether to maintain its 2025-26 contribution levels for health insurance premiums, with no changes to any plan or coverage tier, at its July 13 workshop.
How we got here
In May, Teacher Retirement Systems of Texas released health insurance premium rates for the 2026-27 fiscal year, according to city documents.
District officials are recommending monthly contributions to remain $335 for employee-only coverage under:

The context
The district’s total annual contribution is projected at $12.9 million, according to agenda documents.

The board of trustees will also hear a 2026 strategic budget team report and staff recommendations, according to agenda documents.
As of its June 22 meeting, CCISD is projecting a shortfall of over $20.1 million for FY 2026-27, noting a decline in revenue and challenges, including rising fuel and insurance costs, as well as difficulty recruiting and retaining staff.
To manage the projected shortfall, the district is looking to use its fund balance as well as capital and contingency funds to cover the shortfall, as previously reported by Community Impact.
