CCISD’s approved amendments for its grievance policies align the district with its new 2026-2031 District of Innovation plan by removing several requirements previously mandated by Senate Bill 12 from the 89th Texas Legislature, according to agenda documents.
During the 89th legislative session, the legislature approved new rules that amended timelines, filing requirements and grievance procedures, according to district documents. The new rules make the process less efficient and inhibit the district from timely addressing and remedying grievances.
