Over the course of the past few years, Clear Creek ISD has seen declining enrollment and a recent trend of a shrinking teaching staff. However, pay is up, and staff salaries compared to the state averages remain competitive.
During and after the COVID-19 pandemic, CCISD has started to see a dip in its enrollment. While a projected number, officials expect a similar outcome in the 2023-24 school year.
The enrollment numbers in some ways mirror the size of the district's teaching staff. After the district saw growth in its staff from the 2019-20 school year to the 2021-22 school year, that number shrank, causing the district to lose almost all the staff it had gained in recent years.
Teacher salaries meanwhile remain competitive compared to surrounding districts as pay has continued to increase in recent years. Not shown on the following graph is the upcoming pay scale for teachers in the 2023-24 school year, which was increased in July.
