By 2030, all of Clear Creek ISD’s elementary schools will participate in the Leader in Me program, which teaches students leadership and life skills, adapted from the best-selling book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
The details
CCISD’s board of trustees heard reports from staff and students on how the district’s existing Leader in Me programs were performing at its Sept. 28 meeting.
Currently, 22 of the district’s schools have an active program and of those, 16 of those schools have an assigned community partner offering financial and hands-on support, according to a presentation given at the meeting.
Community partners hail from a variety of industries, including finance and healthcare, with Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital spotlighted at the meeting as the original sponsor, which helped launch the district's first Leader in Me program in 2017.
