Totoro Mochi Donut now open at Baybrook Mall

Totoro Mochi Donut Shop opened as a new dessert and specialty shop in Houston's Bay Area in mid-April.

The doughnut shop also sells Korean street food and fruit teas, and is located in Baybrook Mall.

What they offer

Their handcrafted mochi doughnuts are a Japanese twist on the classic doughnut. It uses rice flour instead of traditional dough and has a slightly crispier texture, according to Totoro's Facebook page. The doughnuts are often coated in colorful glazes or powdered sugar.

The Korean corn dog is a popular street food in South Korea, according to the brand's social media. Instead of a plain hot dog, the Korean versions use fillings such as cheese, sausage or a combination of both. They're often coated in a layer of crispy, slightly sweet batter and rolled in various toppings, such as breadcrumbs, sugar or french fries.
