Waxxed Sports Cards opened its newest location in League City in early September, sales associate Carey Appling said.

Appling said Waxxed Sports Cards is a social gathering place just as much as it is a retail shop. The store also provides tables for people to hang out and open cards, and it serves drinks and snacks.
The shop offers a trade show on the last Saturday of every month from 3-6 p.m. where free pizza and drinks are served, Appling said.
