The community is invited to browse and buy during the sale, and there is no admission fee, said Dona Dye, outreach coordinator for Friends of the Bastrop Library.
"All proceeds will go toward the library's special programming," Dye said. "The plant sales from the Lost Pines Garden Club will help support the library programs, along with their birdhouse project in Fisherman's Park next door to the library."

Books will be available both Friday and Saturday; however, the plant sale will only happen on Saturday, Dye said.

A wide range of books will be available, with prices starting at 25 cents, and children can receive a coupon for one free book each throughout the book sale.
Those looking to find a few new plants can choose from more than 60 varieties, including Texas-native perennials, bulbs, succulents, roses, vines and vegetables, during the plant sale on Saturday.

Those unable to make it to the annual sales can purchase books from the year-round Book Nook at the library, which also funds its programming.
The Book Nook has more than 1,000 books ranging from bestsellers to literature, children’s books, cookbooks and more, according to the website.
