Residents can fight hunger Feb. 7 when a rescheduled fundraising event for the Bastrop County Food Pantry kicks off.
What happened?
The event was moved from Jan. 25 after cold weather conditions forced officials to postpone.
Kelly Manfredini, Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry director of marketing, said all tickets purchased for the original date are valid for Feb. 7.
Those with questions can call officials at 512-303-0033 or email [email protected].
What to expect
The fundraiser brings in the largest aid for the pantry each year, and allows attendees to select and fill hand-painted ceramic bowls made by community members with local soups, stews, chilis and more.
Raffles and a silent auction will also run throughout the event, showcasing local artists and businesses.
What else?
Manfredini said the event is also a “battle of the ladles.”
Judges and attendees can vote for the “best of” and “fan favorites” in a range of categories.
