Bastrop Music Festival will fill venues in and around Historic Downtown Bastrop in late September with nearly three dozen bands and musicians.
The gist
In its sixth year, BMF offers a lineup comprising a variety of musical genres offering both wristband-only and free shows for all ages from Sept. 26-29.
The details
Like South by Southwest, wristbands can be purchased online ahead of the festival for the early-bird rates of $35-$85 for general admission and VIP access. Children ages 5 and younger are free.
Although wristbands grant the attendee access to all shows, officials said each venue has a different capacity—if the limit is reached, wristband-holders will be allowed inside on a one-in, one-out basis.
Officials said depending on those limits, venues can sell tickets for individual shows each night, which range between $10-$20.

What you need to know
Free shows are available Sept. 26-27 from 4-9 p.m. at the box office—inside Copper Shot Distillery at 809 Main St.—where wristbands can be picked up.
One more thing
The Bearded Baking Company, which celebrated its one-year anniversary downtown earlier this year, will hold special events Sept. 27-28.
On Sept. 27 from 3:30-5 p.m., TBBC will host a benefit for the Bastrop Live Music Foundation, with performances by Robert A. Kraft, Ben Zuniga and Daniel Ducloux—who are all foundation board members.
"We will have a tip jar and QR codes that people can scan to donate to the foundation during the show," Kraft said.
On Sept. 28, from 6-7:30 p.m., TBBC will offer a VIP-exclusive event with special performances, sips and snacks.
