Shipley Do-Nuts will soon have a footing in Bastrop, as the Houston-based doughnut chain is slated to open a new location near P. Terry's Burger Stand.
“We’ve been trying to open a shop in Bastrop for almost five years now,” Sam Chen, the owner, told Community Impact. “We just couldn’t find a good location because of rent and other things not working for us.”
Now, he is targeting an opening date in late August along Hwy. 71—a location he believes is prime real estate for doughnut lovers.
