Two acres of space contiguous to the Brodie Park Shopping Center, located at the southeast corner of Brodie and Davis lanes, will be developed to accommodate additional retail and restaurant businesses, according to Grant Barrett, vice-president of Carr Development, the firm behind the project.

"The shopping center is over 90 percent occupied, so now is a good time [to expand]," Barrett said.

Two pads are available for lease. The corner pad is geared toward a freestanding restaurant, and the interior pad has the option of housing multi-tenant retail businesses and a restaurant end cap or a stand-alone restaurant. Both restaurant options would have drive-thru capabilities. Once leased, the sites will come fully developed with utility hookups.

Barrett said the firm is in talks with two potential tenants, the details of which are not yet public.
