MoPac at La Crosse Ave. and Slaughter Lane[/caption]The MoPac intersections project is in the final design phase and construction is not funded. An environmental study was finished in 2015 for improvements on Loop 1 at the intersections of Slaughter Lane and La Crosse Avenue to alleviate congestion and increase safety. A diverging diamond intersection would be added at Slaughter, and a traditional diamond intersection would be added at La Crosse. An underpass would also be built, allowing Loop 1 to go under Slaughter and La Crosse. The project’s anticipated start date is May 1, but a pending lawsuit could delay that timeline, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
