Salt Lick BBQ, which operates locations in Driftwood and Round Rock, is serving up its barbecue at Moontower Saloon on Manchaca Road.
Salt Lick started serving food at the local bar in November on a limited basis and recently purchased a food truck, which it opened Jan. 10 on the property, Catering Director Shane Griffith said.
“We like the atmosphere there,” he said, noting he had been to the venue before to help with a benefit following area floods. “We just thought we worked well together.”
Currently, the truck is open Tue. and Thu. 5 p.m.-11 p.m. and Sat. 2 p.m.-11 p.m. and by the end of February the truck will expand its hours to include Fri. 5 p.m.-11 p.m. and Sun. 2 p.m.-11 p.m., Griffith said. The truck’s menu offerings include brisket nachos, brisket sandwiches and pulled pork sandwiches.
