The District Calendar Task Force—which consists of families and staff, and creates a calendar for each academic year—developed both options with changes that include when the district goes on breaks during the school year.
Each draft of the calendar includes differences such as the first day and last day of school, staff development days and student holidays.
Draft A can be viewed here. Draft B can be viewed here.
The survey’s questions include whether the taker is staff or a parent, ZIP code and choice of which calendar is the taker’s preferred.
The AISD board of trustees will discuss the survey’s results during a regular board meeting Dec. 14.
