The Texas Department of Transportation will close Aquarena Springs Drive starting Tuesday until Sept. 19 between Charles Austin Drive and Mill Street.

Traffic will detour via Thorpe Lane and Charles Austin.

The closures are part of the ongoing construction of a $20.7-million overpass on Aquarena Springs over the Union Pacific Railroad Corp. tracks that cross the road. Crews will be setting steel bridge beams for the new overpass during the lane closures.

The closures are as follows:

• Mon.-Thur. from Sept. 5-19, 8 p.m.-6 a.m.


• Sept. 10 and Sept. 17, 6 p.m.-6 a.m.
