The Root Cellar, located at 215 N. LBJ Drive, San Marcos, has reopened for curbside pickup and delivery only, and for the time being will forego dine-in accommodations. According to owner Kyle Mylius, patio dining will become available in the near future. The establishment closed due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic on March 20 and reopened Sept. 8. The upscale casual dining restaurant uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients and underwent a kitchen remodel while closed.
