Why are you running for office?
As a working single mom, I know firsthand that the systems shaping our lives are failing working families, and too few people in Congress understand how that feels or how it happens. We need leadership that confronts profiteering, protects public resources, and brings everyday people into real decision-making.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
My top priorities are giving residents real power in government decisions through participatory practices and ending private exploitation of public money. When communities can engage and hold systems accountable, public dollars stop being misused, markets work for people, and revenue is protected from corporate siphoning.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
Rising costs, low wages, few jobs, unaffordable healthcare and childcare, crumbling infrastructure, poor transit, and underfunded schools are the result of corporations profiting from public funds and tax breaks without accountability. I’ll push for public investment that delivers results for communities and empowers residents to check exploitation at every level.

Key projects include roads, water systems, the electric grid, quality schools, and good local jobs, alongside policies that stop corporate contracts, tax breaks, and data centers from exploiting public resources. In DC, I’ll fight for federal funding and enforceable standards to ensure these projects benefit communities, not corporate profit.
How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?
My goal is to equip constituents with the tools and access to participate across government and collectively oversee public and private forces shaping their communities. When residents have real information, access, and power, democracy becomes a living system of accountability, not a spectator sport.
