A new sporting goods retailer is gearing up to open a location in Kyle.
Dick's Sporting Goods is planned for development in Kyle Park, a 101-acre mixed-use project that city officials broke ground on in February.

The retailer confirmed its plans to open the Kyle store sometime in 2027, with a spokesperson stating that the new location will "completely revolutionize" the typical layout of a 50,000-square-foot store.
Alongside attire and sporting equipment from brands such as Nike, adidas, and Under Armour, the store will feature:
- An evolved selection of team sports offerings for baseball, softball, soccer, football, lacrosse and hockey gear
- House of Cleats, a 360-degree view of over 400 cleats across multiple sports
- An expanded footwear selection
- Golf hitting bay with Foresight technology
The business recently registered the $16.46 million project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, with a July 1 construction start date.
