Local business owner, licensed massage therapist and herbalist Becky Smith celebrated a decade of providing personalized spa services in the San Marcos Historic District on Nov. 8, with a fundraising party benefiting Central Texas flood relief efforts.

What they offer

Centered around a range of massages, Blooming Day Spa offers add-ons, including:
  • Myofascial release
  • Craniosacral therapy
  • Reiki
  • Herbal foot bath and detox foot treatment
  • Warm rosemary oil scalp treatment
  • Body wrapping with skin exfoliation
Smith said the wildflower honey mini-facial treatment, which uses an oatmeal scrub and honey mask for $58, is a favorite among guests.

Each member of the spa’s five-person team offers unique specialities, so Smith recommends browsing their profiles on the spa's website to find the perfect fit.

What else?

Smith offers three herbal-infused oils targeting different goals that she created and makes at the studio, including:
  • A hydrating option featuring calendula and shea nut oil
  • A detox option featuring coffee and chickweed
  • A circulatory option featuring chai spices, turmeric and tulsi—also known as holy basil
“We also offer an arnica muscle-soothing blend made with CBD,” she said.

Something to note

Individuals and groups of up to six people are seen by appointment only, which Smith said allows the team to truly pamper each client.

“As our only guest, you can fully immerse yourself in relaxation and tranquility,” she said.
