Locally owned hair salon Premier Cuts temporarily closed its Kyle location on Jan. 29. The business will reopen at a new spot this summer.

What's happening

Premier Cuts Kyle will move from its space next to the H-E-B Plus at 5401 FM 1626 to the Kyle 150 Business Park at 340 E. FM 150.

The relocation is due to the grocery store’s expansion, Premier Cuts office administrator Michelle Zimmerhanzel told Community Impact, in an email. Kyle's Planning and Zoning Commission approved a conditional use permit last year to expand and reconfigure the H-E-B Curbside area and add a True Texas BBQ.

Construction on the new space, set to open this summer, has already begun. During the transition, the Kyle salon’s stylists are available at Premier Cuts’ San Marcos and New Braunfels locations.

Locally owned by Brian Olson, Premier Cuts opened in San Marcos in 2005 and offers haircuts for men and women at its five Central Texas locations.
