A new custard and dessert shop is opening soon in Kyle.

East Coast-based Abbott's Frozen Custard is slated to open on Oct. 9, according to the Kyle location's general manager.

The business has a dining room and a drive-thru and will serve shakes, sundaes, cones, pies, cakes and more.
