XCharge North America, a high-power intelligent charging solutions provider, celebrated the opening of its U.S. headquarters and manufacturing facility in Kyle's Plum Creek Business Park on Nov. 16.

The backstory

The original equipment manufacturer specializes in innovating Level-3 electric vehicle chargers and energy storage devices.

According to a news release, XCharge has worked to develop a UL-compliant EV charging product specifically designed for the North American electric grid, with engineering that works to make charging a more “streamlined experience.”

XCharge has been working in collaboration with the Greater San Marcos Partnership to develop the 3,500-square-foot facility over the past year. According to a news release, the facility is dedicated to the technical aspects of XCharge NA’s business operations.

What they're saying

Mayor Travis Mitchell said he could not be happier to have XCharge in Kyle.

“The electrification of the automotive industry is underway, and so it’s [going to] take innovative companies to help propel us into the next generation of vehicular travel,” Mitchell said.

Aatish Patel, co-founder and president of XCharge, noted that they were there to support the community in all areas of electrification.

“We’re here to not only support people with EV charging but in all electrification,” Patel said.

XCharge also has plans to expand its facility by 20,000 square feet in the coming years.
