The bar and restaurant is owned by Javier Equihua and in the location formerly occupied by Elevate Bar + Table.
Equihua owns Ma'Coco, an Austin-based Mexican restaurant located in East Austin. After spending time in the San Marcos area, Equihua saw the opportunity to bring something unique to the community.
"We're very excited to be here and we're very excited to bring a space where memories can be made," Equihua said.
Balcón will be equipped with a full bar and serve modern Mexican cuisine.
