The Round Rock City Council approved $1.5 million in contracts for three road projects in a May 14 meeting. Projects include a change order to enhance traffic control at an intersection in front of a school, a new project to add a traffic signal at the edge of the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction near SH 130 and right-of-way acquisition for future projects along Gattis School Road.

Chandler Road and CR 119
Project: Add right-turn lanes for both eastbound and northbound traffic, make drainage improvements and add a traffic signal to the intersection of Chandler Road and CR 119.
Update: Council approved a contract with Dan Williams Co. for the project.

Gattis School Road Segments 4 and 5
Project: Widen the four-lane road to a six-lane road between Double Creek Drive and Via Sonoma Trail.

Greenlawn Boulevard
Project: The city is reconstructing Greenlawn Boulevard from an existing four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane divided urban roadway with pedestrian and lighting improvements.
Update: Design for the project was updated in May to include a new traffic signal and turn lane near the IDEA Public Schools campus.
