The stretch of Greenlawn Boulevard spanning from I-35 to Louis Henna Boulevard could soon be subject to a temporary speed limit reduction.
This comes as construction on the mixed-use project, The District, continues on the northwest side of the roadway, and Greenlawn Boulevard itself is widened to add another lane in each direction.

The details
The move would temporarily decrease the speed limit from 45 mph to 35 mph, if approved. The temporary speed limit would expire once construction is complete, and staff would need to reevaluate the corridor to determine what the best speed limit should be, city documents state.
