Round Rock seeks $55M grant funding for road projects

The four projects focus on three roadways: an extension to Deep Wood Drive, widening North Mays Street and building segments 5 and 6 of Kenney Fort Boulevard.

Deep Wood Drive

• Scope: The extension project will connect Round Rock Avenue to Sam Bass Road.
• Cost breakdown: $9.6 million in CAMPO grant funds, $3.2 million from city of Round Rock, $3.2 million from Williamson County
• Schedule: Construction to start late 2027

• Scope: Widen the existing road to five lanes in two areas, from Paloma Drive to Steam Way, and from Oakmont Drive to the Mays Street and University Boulevard intersection
• Cost breakdown: $9.2 million in CAMPO grant funds, $6.1 million from city of Round Rock
• Schedule:

• Scope: The project will extend the road from Old Settlers Boulevard and tie into CR 112
• Cost breakdown: $21.2 million in CAMPO grant funds, $9.6 million from city of Round Rock, $4.5 million from Williamson County
• Schedule: Still in design phase

• Scope: The project will extend the road from CR 112 to University Boulevard
• Cost breakdown: $15.8 million in CAMPO grant funds, $6 million from city of Round Rock, $4.5 million from Williamson County.
