Alamo Coffee Co. opened July 9 at 1021 Sendero Springs Drive, Round Rock. Adam Cornish owns the business that offers five “Alamo-inspired” coffee blends, including San Jacinto, Brazos and San Antonio Mission. Alamo Coffee Co. has one other location in Lampasas. 512-551-9455.

Ambur Fire, located at 5430 Hwy. 79, Round Rock, reopened May 5. Owner Scott Amburgey said the Ambur Fire trailer had to be replaced after a pole fell on it during the March 21 tornado. Besos Cocina & Cantina opened June 16 at 3107 S. I-35, Round Rock. The Mexican-inspired restaurant occupies the building formerly home to Tortuga Flats, which closed in 2018. El Estadio Restaurant & Sports Bar opened June 17 at 500 Parker Drive, Round Rock, in a building formerly occupied by Deckhand Oyster Bar. El Estadio offers wings, jalapeno poppers and other appetizers as well as a variety of seafood, burgers, chicken, pizza and salad. 737-203-9047

Galen College of Nursing, a regionally accredited nursing school with campuses across the U.S., opened a new location May 17 inside St. David’s Surgical Hospital at 1201 W. Louis Henna Blvd., Bldg.
