More and more businesses are coming to the Round Rock area, and while by no means comprehensive, the following list details a smattering of companies that are now open or soon will be. From fitness studios to sushi to hot wings, Round Rock continues to attract small and large businesses.

NOW OPEN

Hotworx opened a second location in Round Rock at 635 University Blvd., Ste. 110 Aug. 17. The virtually instructed fitness studio offers yoga, Pilates, core and cycle fitness class options, among others, that are all carried out within an infrared sauna. Hotworx is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering unlimited access to its members. 512-767-9357. www.hotworx.net

Illusion Beauty Salon opened Aug. 11 at 2013 N. Mays St., Round Rock. The salon offers haircuts, beard trimming, hair coloring and styling, makeup, manicures, pedicures and wax services. 512-394-5393

Milano Ristorante opened May 3 at 1700 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Ste. 300, Round Rock. The family-owned Italian restaurant is the sister location to Milano Trattoria in Georgetown. However, the menus are different, offering a new variety of salads, traditional Italian dishes and desserts to its customers. 512-502-5545. www.milanoristorantetx.com


COMING SOON

Evolution Health Services is opening a clinic at 3720 Gattis School Rd, Ste. 800, Round Rock. The 1,522-square-foot space was leased in July, and the clinic will specialize in testosterone hormone therapy and weight loss. A mid-September opening is anticipated. 727-222-5553

Hoots Wings is coming to 2200 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Ste. 125, Round Rock, in January. The Hooters spinoff franchise borrows its menu from its parent restaurant offering dine-in, takeout, an outdoor patio and delivery options to its customers. Renovation of the fast-casual restaurant facility is set to begin at the end of August, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. This will be the first Hoots location in Central Texas with a handful of franchises opening in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this summer. www.hootswings.com

Jersey Mike's is expected to open its doors at 17220 RM 620, Ste. 120, Round Rock, in September. The New Jersey-based sandwich shop first opened in 1956, according to the company website, and began franchising when current owner Peter Cancro purchased the business at 17 years old in the 1970s. With more than 2,000 locations across the country, this will be the sandwich shop's third location in Round Rock. www.jerseymikes.com

Take 5 Oil Change began construction in July for a location at 2151 Gattis School Road, Round Rock. A representative of the company confirmed there is not a set opening date for the location. Take 5 Oil Change offers contactless, drive-thru oil changes and other maintenance such as air filter and windshield wiper replacement. This will be the first Round Rock location, according to company website listings. www.take5oilchange.com

The Point at 620-Retail II center from CSW Development will begin construction this fall at 17280 N. RM 620, Round Rock, according to information available from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The developer's website states that one of the two tenant spaces in the project has been leased by Sherwin-Williams, with the remaining suite, which has a drive-thru, available for lease. TDLR permitting shows that the structure is expected to be completed in early 2022. www.cswdevelopment.com

Uptown Cheapskate is coming to the Boardwalk at 2601 S. I-35, Ste. D-300, Round Rock, in late September or early October, according to franchise location owners. Once construction on the new location is finished, the resale shop will be in its "open-to-buy" period, during which clothes and other items can be brought to be purchased in order to stock the store. www.uptowncheapskate.com

Whitewater Express Car Wash began construction at 651 University Blvd., Round Rock, at the end of September, according to filings from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The car wash chain offers monthly memberships and free vacuum services to its customers, with memberships starting from $16.99 a month and varying by location. www.whitewatercw.com

Xian Sushi and Noodle will open in Round Rock at 3906 Gattis School Road in October. This will be the fifth location of the Austin-area Asian fusion chain, which offers sushi, teas, cocktails, hand-pulled noodles and other hot dishes. www.xianfresh.com
