City of Round Rock officials have confirmed that ground will be broken in the next two weeks for a Tesla Supercharger station in the Market at Round Rock shopping center at 110 N. I-35.

A total of 16 planned charging stalls will be located near Freddie's Frozen Custard and Corner Bakery in the shopping center, representing a $150,000 investment in electric vehicle charging stations for the area, according to filings from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The charging station is expected to be built out by the end of 2021, according to the company's website. Tesla Superchargers offer quick charging solutions for drivers away from home with a 15-minute charge providing up to 200 miles of range. www.tesla.com/supercharger
