480-home master-planned community breaks ground in east Round Rock

A 178-acre master-planned community, Homestead at Old Settlers Park, has broken ground in east Round Rock.

In a collaboration between Tri Pointe Homes and Meritage Homes, the development is located north of Hwy. 79 and will feature community amenities such as a swimming pool, a splash pad, a pavilion, a playground, multipurpose play space, trails and over 20 acres of parkland, per a March 9 news release.

Under the partnership, Tri Pointe will construct 217 single-family homes, while Meritage will build 263 homes, per the release.

Tri Pointe home collections vary between 1,800-3,200 square feet. The Tri Pointe models are available in the following options:

• 3-5 bedrooms
• 2-3.5 bathrooms
• 2-car garage

The Meritage home models range from 1,450-2,800 square feet and can include:

• 3-4 bedrooms
• 2-3 bathrooms
• 2-car garages
• covered back patio

Homestead at Old Settlers Park will celebrate a grand opening in July that will feature two Tri Pointe model homes and one Meritage model home for prospective buyers to visit. More information is available online for Tri Pointe and Meritage.
