Round Rock residents received a letter in October to attend an open house discussing a possible transmission line running through Round Rock.
The LCRA is looking to build the line to connect new power substations to existing transmission sources, according to LCRA documents.
The proposed project consists of constructing a new 138-kV transmission line to connect two new substations in Leander to existing Leander and Round Rock substations.
Round Rock Mayor Alan McGraw said city officials are in communication about the transmission line. He said he wanted to see if existing lines could be used.
