Hutto ISD has launched a curbside meals pickup program to provide breakfast and lunch options to students during extended school closures, as announced in a March 23 district Facebook post. The free program began March 24 and will run each day from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School, 3160 Limmer Loop, Hutto.

The curbside options provide students with a grab-and-go lunch and the next day's breakfast. Students must be present with parents during the pickup or can receive a grab-and-go lunch on their own if within walking distance, according to Texas Department of Agriculture regulations and district officials.

In limited cases where a child is unable to be present at the time of pickup, parents can collect their child's meal by providing district officials with the student's name, school and grade level. Cottonwood Creek Elementary is the only operating curbside pickup site, with district officials confirming in the Facebook post they will evaluate the possibility of additional locations later this week.
