April sales tax figures released by the Texas comptroller of public accounts office June 10 revealed double-digit sales tax revenue growth for Pflugerville and Hutto, while Round Rock experienced a minor dip.
Sales tax revenue generated by Pflugerville in April amounted to $1.47 million, a 16.85% spike year over year from April 2019 figures at $1.26 million. In the year to date, Pflugerville has collected $8.73 million in sales tax revenue, a 14.06% increase from $7.65 million by the end of April 2019.
In Hutto, April sales tax revenue numbers reflected a 36.42% increase year over year from April 2019, with more than $635,000 collected in 2020 compared to 2019's nearly $466,000. Hutto has gained $3.34 million in sales tax revenue in the year to date, a 25.7% uptick from the $2.66 million by the end of April 2019.
Round Rock experienced a 2.9% decrease in its sales tax revenue for April, with $6.82 million acquired in 2020 and $7.03 million in 2019. Despite a slight dip in April collections, Round Rock's revenue collections in the year to date increased 2.14%, with $43.75 million received through April and $42.83 million by the end of April 2019.
