Just in time for the holiday season, Round Rock’s historic water tower has been repainted and relit. This is one of several completed projects, accomplishments and milestones that took place locally in 2019.

In Round Rock, the city’s Minor League Baseball team, the Round Rock Express, played its 20th season this year. Dell Technologies reached a milestone as well: 25 years headquartered in Round Rock.

The city of Pflugerville completed improvements to Weiss Lane in October. In addition, the grand opening of Main Street Plaza—a 6,500-square-foot park with a garden, interactive musical area, picnic tables and fountain—took place in June.

Also this year, Hutto City Hall and Hutto Public Library relocated to the Co-Op District. Hutto ISD began construction on a ninth-grade center in February and opened Doc Kerley Elementary School in August.

More work is underway as all three cities address and prepare for rapid growth in 2020 and beyond.
