Gander Mountain announced March 10 it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and Round Rock’s store is on the list of 32 the company will close.

Round Rock store management referred questions to Jess Myers of Ewald Consulting, who said a closing date is yet to be determined, but the “process will begin in the next week.”

In a release from Myers, the company stated it has “experienced challenging traffic patterns and shifts in consumer demand resulting from increased direct-to-customer sales by key vendors and accelerated growth of e-commerce.”

Gander Mountain is closing 32 of its 162 stores. Those closing are located in 11 states, including 10 in Texas.

The Round Rock location, which opened in 2013, is located at 3203 S. I-35, Ste. 500. It is a 50,882-square-foot building once occupied by Sportsman’s Warehouse.
