What we reported Hutto’s first grocery store, an H-E-B Plus, opened at Gattis School Road and SH 130 on Nov. 16. The 121,000-square-foot store includes new innovations for the chain, which has more than 370 stores in Texas and Mexico, including Mia’s Mirror, Meal Simple and Primo Picks. The store employs 350 people.
The latest An Optical by H-E-B, the first in the chain’s history, is hiring part- and full-time employees for its January opening.
What’s next A convenience store and 10-pump gas station will open in January. The convenience store will offer hand-rolled sushi, salads, pizza, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items. There will also be a Whataburger with a drive-thru. Other stores in the retail area to the north of H-E-B Plus are under construction, including an optometrist, dentist, liquor store, dry cleaner and nail salon.
