Guthrie Cleaners, located at 307 Farley St., Hutto, will permanently close May 26 after 18 years of business.

After 30 years in the dry cleaning business, owner Garry Guthrie is retiring. His grandfather started Guthrie Cleaners & Laundry in Austin in 1928.

Guthrie said an open house will be held May 20 as an appreciation for the customers.
