“The vision of Hippo Social Club was really about creating wellness and making it more accessible and making it integrated in day-to-day [life],” Tracey Janowitz said. “Hippo Social Club is a campus and a hub that gives you the framework based around our pillars of fuel, movement, and connection.”
What they offer
Hippo Social Club focuses on branches of wellness that include nourishment through food and experiences, social connection, exercise and movement.

The community center offers sauna and cold plunge therapy, a remote workspace, wellness support for men and women, onsite events and nature trails. The space is something that needs to be experienced, Janowitz said, and engaging in the communal aspect of Hippo Social Club is what nourishes people at the campus.
“Health and wellness is not just exercising in a gym and eating good food,” Janowitz said. “We are nourished in so many ways and this is what we utilize to help teach and educate and inspire those ... at Hippo Social Club.”
The local impact
Hippo Social Club partners with wellness organizations to host events in the community for people to learn more about healthy eating, mindfulness, fitness and more. The space caters to everyone, from toddlers to adults, with all levels of fitness experience.
“This space is for anyone, anywhere on their wellness journey,” Janowitz said.
The social club holds a Hippo Trail Fest every year with Tejas Trails and hosts hundreds of attendees. The event includes vendors, activations, recovery stations and more. They also host networking events for business professionals once a month, as well as weekly women’s circles on Saturdays.
Learn more
The wellness center offers various memberships for community members, including punch cards and all-access options. The unlimited membership allows participants to access all group classes at the Hutto and Round Rock Patriot Sports and Fitness locations, priority registration for events and all access to the coworking space and recovery elements.
The co-founders also built nature trails on the property for visitors to use. Hippo Social Club partnered with the local homeowners association to help create the outdoor space and share the message that nature is healing.
Locals can buy a trail member day pass for $2 to access the private trails onsite. Hutto Town Square homeowners and Hippo Social Club members don’t need to purchase a trail pass.
