The H-E-B Grocery Company on March 2 submitted a pair of filings for a new construction project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The filings indicate H-E-B is interested in building a store in east Pflugerville at 2641 E. Pflugerville Parkway, southwest of Lake Pflugerville and east of SH 130.

H-E-B Construction Project Leader Blake Gardner said he would not confirm if the grocery chain will build a new store, but the filings indicate the project would cost a total of $48 million and total about 127,000 square feet.

Pflugerville Planning and Development Services Director Jeremy Frazell said H-E-B has filed a site plan with the city.

Frazzell said while the site plan submittal does not guarantee H-E-B is coming to the location, the company is now working through subdivision plans. He added the project would include several road and infrastructure additions and improvements.

The TDLR filings state the project would begin construction in mid-July and complete construction by July 2024.

However, Frazzell said the construction timeline listed on TDLR is not definite, and the city cannot confirm an opening date.
