NewQuest Properties, the developer of Hutto's Townwest Commons shopping center, is in the process of trying to attract new businesses.

A map of the shopping center recently circulated on social media indicating proposed locations for Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, EVO Entertainment and Brookshire Brothers.

However, NewQuest Vice President Josh Friedlander said those businesses currently have no plans to come to Hutto, and the map exists only for pitching the location to businesses.

NewQuest's standard pitching process involves creating numerous site map variations with locations for different prospective businesses, according to Friedlander.

"We create hundreds of site plans typically for each of our developments," Friedlander said. "So far on [Townwest Commons] we've done at least 15 different versions."

Amanda Cripe, a representative for EVO Entertainment's public relations firm Giant Noise, confirmed in an email that EVO Entertainment has no plans for a Hutto location at this time.
