1. Learn how to plan and design a green home Austin Energy hosts workshops throughout August to teach the public about building, buying and remodeling green homes. Thursday’s workshop teaches attendees how to identify home design priorities and how location, site and climate affect the design of a sustainable home. 7-9 p.m. $15 (registration for students and city of Austin employees), $25 (general admission). 3. Shop at Domain Northside’s final First Friday event The final First Friday event features live music by Drew Davis and specials in stores around Rock Rose, including a lip bar and complimentary services at Nordstrom and complimentary champagne at Joie. 7. Compete in the Local Post Pub’s 2017 Olympics   The Local Post Pub 2017 Olympics includes events such as human foosball, volleyball and dodgeball. These tournament-style games are played with teams of eight.
