Picolé on Feb. 27 held a grand opening for its first Austin location at 11501 Rock Rose Ave., Ste. 156, Austin. The confectionary store sells picoles—gourmet Brazilian frozen popsicles—made with an assortment of fillings ranging from fruit to tequila.

New York City-based shoe retailer Soludos opened its first Austin location Feb. 24. The store, located in Domain Northside at 11700 Rock Rose Ave., Ste. 140, Austin, sells high-end footwear for men and women with different styles to select from, including boots, sneakers and espadrilles.


Italian fashion brand Golden Goose later this year is opening a store in The Domain at 11600 Century Oaks Terrace, Ste. 124, Austin. Golden Goose sells high-end sneakers for men, women and children alongside jackets, bags and accessories.

Men’s apparel retailer Faherty is opening a store later this spring at 11700 Domain Blvd., Ste. 100, Austin. This will be the first Texas storefront for Faherty, which sells high-end clothing and blankets made from sustainable materials. 877-745-8994.

New York City-based luxury clothing company Goodlife is opening its first Texas storefront in Domain Northside at 11701 Domain Blvd., Ste. 130, Austin. Goodlife, set to open later this spring, sells shirts, hats, and more for men and women.


Exercise franchise Pure Barre on Jan. 1 opened its new temporary space in The Domain at 3220 Feathergrass Court, Ste. 100, Austin. Pure Barre, previously located at 10710 Research Blvd., Austin, offers barre exercise classes every day of the week. According to the company, it is looking for a permanent space in The Domain and is finalizing build-out plans to open in summer 2021. 512-574-2344.

After closing in September, Austin stand-up icon Capitol City Comedy Club will reopen in October at a new location in The Domain. Brothers Brad and Marc Grossman, owners of Helium Comedy Club—which has five nationwide locations—bought the club after it closed due to a combination of an expiring lease and financial hardships resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. The new Cap City location at 11506 Century Oaks Terrace, Austin, will feature two showrooms, with the main showroom dedicated to national touring acts. Cap City will continue to run the “Funniest Person in Austin” competition and will continue to sponsor the Moontower Comedy Festival, Brad Grossman said.
