A week after celebrating the grand opening of its new warehouse, nonprofit Austin Diaper Bank is kicking off a month-long drive with a goal of collecting 100,000 donated diapers. The Great Central Texas Diaper Roundup will continue throughout the month of October, and ADB is accepting donations of diapers in all sizes for all ages, including adults, founder Beverly Hamilton said. Donated diapers, including unused diapers from open packages, may be dropped off at any BB&T Bank branch or Stepping Stone School location in Central Texas. The businesses have locations in Austin, Bee Cave, Cedar Park, Kyle, Leander and Round Rock. Visit the BB&T website or Stepping Stone website to find a location for the dropoff. On Sept. 21, ADB celebrated the grand opening of its warehouse located at 8711 Burnet Road, Ste. B-34, Austin. The 1,700-square-foot space is the nonprofit’s first warehouse, Hamilton said. Previously the nonprofit operated out of her home or in smaller spaces. “We’re just growing exponentially, but we need to meet the need,” she said. Visit www.austindiapers.org for more information.
