77 Degrees Rooftop is located at 11500 Rock Rose Ave., Austin, between Jack & Ginger’s Irish Pub and St. Genevieve, which the Van Deldens opened earlier in 2016.
The three-story bar features two outdoor rooftop spaces and rum-inspired cocktails. Jeff said the name is inspired by the ideal outdoor temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit and also the 77th west meridian, or the longitude that runs through the Caribbean.
77 Degrees serves rum cocktails, such as Cayman Account with dark rum, fresh-squeezed juices, ginger beer and a pineapple garnish shaped like a parrot. Tapas are also available with options such as ground beef empanadas with a sweet mojito sauce.
In July the third-floor tower will open as a rentable space for parties, a bar and cabanas. On Wednesdays, 77 Degrees offers specials on hookah. 512-589-2925. www.77-degrees.com

NAME CHANGE—Owner Aamil Sarfani changed the name of Two Hands Coffee on June 18 to Apanas Coffee & Beer. Sarfani said Apanas is the name of the lake located near one of the farms the business partners with. Apanas uses a business model where 40 percent of the cost of a pound of coffee goes to the coffee farmers.
