Austin ISD launches new enrollment system to streamline process

Austin ISD will launch a new enrollment system for families on Nov. 8 ahead of the 2024-25 school year.

The gist

In an email sent to families Nov. 2, the new system, referred to as “Enroll Austin,” will combine all applications into one system, including online registration, transfer requests, and prekindergarten applications.

In addition, families will be able to rank up to seven programs or campuses if considering more than one option for enrollment. In March, the system will assign students to the highest ranked school based on capacity and eligibility.

What’s next

Priority registration opens in November and closes in February. General registration for the 2024-25 school year begins in April.

For the 2023-24 school year, families will not use Enroll Austin.
